As part of the Prehistory topic classes from Year 5 were able to go thousands of years back in time. They went on an exciting school trip to the Gava Archaeological Mines.
This is regarded as one of Europe’s most important and unique heritage sites.
We took part in a workshop and looked at real artifacts from that period.
We found out what clothes prehistoric people wore, and the materials they used for clothes. We discovered how they worked by analyzing the bones. We looked at all the different tools they used. We could even touch them.
We saw the animals that lived at that time and saw the animal skulls and bones. We also discovered how to identify male or female bones. Click here!!
